One of the hottest tickets in town will be Olympia, The London International Horse Show from 13th – 19th December, at London’s Olympia for the world’s best equestrian Christmas party. And. with the London Olympics 2012 looming large, all eyes will be on this year’s Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage winners as an indication of our potential success.
Dressage enthusiasts from around the world will get the opportunity to congratulate members of this year’s British Gold Medal team, following their success at the European Championships. All four members; Carl Hester, Laura Bechtolsheimer, Charlotte Dujardin and Emile Faurie will be taking part in the Olympia World Cup qualifier on Wednesday 14t December.
Carl Hester will contest the qualifier with Sasha Stewart’s stallion Uthopia, who he has won two European individual Silver Medals with, while Charlotte Dujardin will be making her debut at Olympia, The London International Horse Show with her European team Gold Medal ride Valegro.
Second in the FEI world rankings, Laura Bechtolsheimer, will compete with either gold medal partner, Mistral Hojris, or stable mate, Adretti H, who she won this year’s National Championship title with at Stoneleigh. Bechtolsheimer will also be hosting this year’s Olympia Dressage Masterclass, prior to the competition on Wednesday 14th December.
Olympia is the fourth in a series of nine competitions that offers riders the opportunity to qualify for a place in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ final in S’Hertogenbosch next year. Now in its 27th year, the World Cup series is sponsored by the New York fashion house of Reem Acra.
